Selection
from the eligible candidates is made on the basis of a written
entrance examination held in the Institute. The Examination consists
of two papers:-
A) For Degree entry batch:-
1) Engineering Knowledge
It is
an objective type of paper, consisting of questions on what the
candidate has learnt in his Degree/Diploma syllabus. It is of 1 hr.
duration
2) English &
General Knowledge
The
candidates ability to express himself
in correct English and his knowledge of current affairs,
sports, science and technological advances is judged. The paper is 1
hr. duration.
B)
For Diploma entry batch:-
1) Paper I
Engineering
Knowledge (objective type questions). Duration 1
hr.
2) Paper II
Descriptive
questions & numericals, drawing
a) Applied Mechanics b) Heat Engines c) Mathematics d) Engineering
Drawing
Duration - 2 hrs. |
